You are so right. I contracted Type 2 diabetes, gave up most carbs (never touch bread or pasta; watch everything else) and did a modified Atkins. I lost 25 pounds, brought my blood sugar down to near normal, and have never had to go on drugs. As a bonus, my bp and cholesterol went to normal as well!

WOW, you feel old at 37? I had my first child at 38, second at 40; it wasn't planned that way, just turned out that way. I'm 65 and can NOT think of myself as old. I only feel old if I look at my neck. :-)

Sorry, researchers....neither I nor my husband smoked, nobody around the children smoked, nobody in our extended families. They got ear infections al the time. And yes, they were breast-fed.
